First Alert Honors
Systems of Nevada with Community Service Award
Systems of Nevada,
a low-voltage contractor specializing in custom interior systems
for homes, is the recipient of the First Alert Professional Community
Service Award. Joe Bemus, Systems of Nevada's owner and president,
accepted the national award at First Alert's annual conference in
Miami on October 16.
The award was
presented to Bemus for sponsoring and hosting a free child safety
program at his business on April 18, 2004 with Marc Klaas and the
KlaasKids Foundation. Children from throughout the community were
fingerprinted, had digital photographs taken and their parents were
given important information about how to keep their children safe.
"First Alert
Professional believes strongly in the importance of giving back
to the community. By holding the KlaasKids print-a-thon Systems
of Nevada has proven their dedication to the families in their neighborhoods.
As one of the first dealers to bring this type of event to the public,
Systems of Nevada has demonstrated that they are truly deserving
of our Community Service Award and we are very proud of their accomplishments,"
said Joe Sausa, president of First Alert Professional.
"Child safety
is one of our community's most important issues. I am honored to
be recognized for Systems of Nevada's to help our community's children.
I must commend the many organizations such as the school district,
Sparks police and fire department and a host of other business that
lent their support to this important event," said Bemus.
System of Nevada
has will host its second annual free KlaasKids print-a-thon and
child safety day in spring of 2005.

1989 in Sparks, Systems of Nevada has been providing custom designed
